Homesick

Mid-Autumn Festival is this Sunday and I'm dreading the thought of spending it alone as a just-the-two-of-us kinda occasion, especially since Mid-Autumn is such a big thing here in Hong Kong. I already can imagine the emptiness knowing that people around me are gathering in their big extended families.  

I got a big extended family too! "Big" is a gross understatement actually; my family is HUGE!! Am sure the six tier family photo at my wedding left a deep impression for those who witnessed it. 

Right now I'm just a lee-tle far away from them :(

Really miss the big gatherings that we have, be it Mid-Autumn or any occasion, where we'll just gather at someone's house to eat, "ketchup", tell jokes and laugh so loud. 

Dreamt of my maternal grandma's place at Merlimau two nights ago, and realised how long I've not visited my uncles there. Damn, this plus the above... = double dose of homesickness. 

Hmmm... perhaps I'll call home this Sunday :)
